COVID-19 UPDATES

At HGV MIDLANDS we have been continuously monitoring advice from the government and devolved administrations. We have now received notification for us to return to training however the testing facilities are going to be resumed in phases. We are unsure what this means for us yet but there have been suggestions of staggered test times and reduced test services. They have announced that LGV tests are to resume service from the 13th July and onwards. We have many students awaiting information from us and once we have the correct details we will advise you accordingly however you can still contact us on the email address below.

SUPPORT

We are now safely open and operating face to face appointments. These must be booked via our website or over the phone. We are still adhering to social distancing measures and across our site you will find hand sanitiser and screens might also be in place. Please wear a mask when visiting us or you might be asked to leave the premises. We look forward to welcoming you all back to training.

WORKING SAFELY

At HGV MIDLANDS we are working hard to implement new measures including new cleaning zones and social distancing measures. Social distancing within the vehicle cabs is not possible so where possible students will be paired with the same instructor known as a 'fixed team' or 'partnering'.

 

We also ask that when visiting us please book an appointment or call us prior to visiting our premises once we are open in order for us to people manage correctly with staggered timings.

When training does resume any student showing any possible signs or symptoms relating to coronavirus will be asked to leave the premises and self isolate for 14 days. The safety of our staff and students is extremely important and this will be the forefront of our training when we return to work. 

 

Although we have rescheduled many of our students already there is still the possibility and need for further postponements. This will be solely based on the availability of testing facilities provided by the DVSA.

 

Our staff room will be a strictly staff only policy.  Unfortunately we will no longer be offering tea & coffee facilities so please bring refreshments of your own with you when training does resume. 

 

Our premises and vehicles will be undergoing a deep clean prior to re-opening. Gloves and masks will be a mandatory requirement during training.
